Largest Patio at Faneuil Hall
Restaurant: Boston McCormick_and_Schmick
We wandered downtown Boston looking for a place to eat. After looking at several menus and price points, we settled on McCormick and Schmick's, a restaurant with a large patio in the middle of Faneuil Hall Market Place.
We each chose a different beer, mine was a local Adams Brick or something like that. It wasn't very good, and I will have to remember not to get it next time.
Kitty finally got to order her oysters!
I finally got to order my clam chowder that I was craving all weekend. It was nice and creamy and the oyster crackers were good. On a side note, I don't actually like soggy crackers in my soup, so I quickly ate all the crackers after taking the picture.
I got the Surf and Turf - Top Sirloin and Stuffed Shrimp Combination. The steak wasn't very good and was a little tasteless. I enjoyed the shrimp very much though, because they were stuffed with crab cakes! Not just any crab cakes, huge ones! Those were tasty!
Mike had the Yellowtail Sole from Chatham, Massachusetts - Parmesan Crusted, Pan Fried, Lemon Caper Sauce. His dish was really large as it had 2 pieces of fish. The fish was very nicely done, and I liked the breading.
Kitty had a lobster tail prepared carribean style with fruit/veggie skewers. Her tail looks big, but that's because it was cut in half lengthwise.
Nelson ordered a lobster special. I know we are in Boston (not known for lobsters), but the table next to us got it and I was tempted. I had it specially ordered so that it came grilled. This is a great way to eat Lobster and I think I will order it this way in the future.
The reason I got the Surf and Turf is because it also came with a cream brulée dessert! It was one of the best I've had! I love the pudding part the best.
We took pictures of the dessert tray, and I'm sad that I never got to try a Boston Cream Pie.
