Rodeo Drive Brunch
Nelson @ Brighton Coffee Shop: We were hungry and on Rodeo Drive. We went on a side street to Rodeo Drive and found an "affordable" place to enjoy brunch in the beautiful weather.
I ordered a spanish omelette, which was stuffed with mushroom, spinach, cheese, onion, avocado melted cheese (?typo on menu?), and piping hot spanish sauce (and it came with breakfast potatoes). The sauce was like a ketchupy tomato sauce and the omelette was absolutely stuffed with all that good stuff. The breakfast potatoes were delicious too. Apparently spanish omelettes typically have potato as a filling ingredient and tomato sauce over top, but this version only had the sauce. Next time I have spanish tapas, I'll have to try an authentic version.
Kitty ordered a breakfast Burrito with cheese, scrambled eggs, onion, apple-wood smoked bacon and chopped honey baked ham grilled inside a flour tortilla and served with avocado, sour cream and diced tomato. They were really generous with the avocado, although it is difficult to tell from the pictures. It tasted similar to my omelette, but that's a good thing - it was excellent!
