Cheesecake Factory serves fish?
Nelson @ Cheesecake Factory: I took my sister to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time, but she wasn't very impressed.
She had the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta which is described as their most popular pasta dish!. It has shrimp and chicken sauteed with onions, tomatoes and peppers in a very spicy cajun sauce. All on top of fresh linguini. This dish was too oily and my sister didn't enjoy it because of that reason. I have to admit that it wasn't that great of a dish either.
I had the Wasabi Crusted Ahi Tuna: Fresh Rare Ahi Topped with a spicy wasabi crust. Served with Julienne vegetables, miso beurre blanc and rice. I liked the large chunk of tuna. I asked for rare, and I got rare, but I'm not sure that's the best way to have cooked fish. Maybe it should either be cooked completely or not at all. I remember in the past having partially cooked tuna and liking it, but this wasn't the best. It was still good, patly because wasabi crust. It was more salty than spicy though, so I think they toned down the wasabi taste for a Western palate. The vegetables were decent because the sauce tasted fatty. It helped offset the strangely dry rice and I ended up with absolutely no sauce on my plate.
We didn't have cheesecake, because we just had some the day before. Maybe that's why Grace didn't enjoy the Cheesecake Factory.
