Thompson Hotel Wedding Part 2

Nelson: Here's the beginning of the main sit down meal and it begins with a Jerusalem artichoke soup with black truffle infusion. I could taste the truffle flavour, yum!
This is a Caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, aged balsamic and micro basil. So much cheese which meant it was delicious!
Miso marinated black cod with black sesame rice cake, garlic ginger bok choy and wild mushrooms. I didn't like the rice crisp as it felt like it was made to break teeth. Otherwise the black cod was soso.
Herb crusted filet mignon asparagus spears, caramelized onion mash, madeira reduction, crisp onion threads. The beef was cooked pretty rare, so I really enjoyed it.
Raspberry Fantasy, a light mousse with raspberry coulis. It was a bit like ice cream that wasn't ice cold. It was a bit rich for me, but at the same time had a tonne of chocolate flavour. I enjoyed it.
Burgundy pear on mascarpone cream tart. I liked this dessert even better as it had the right amount of sweetness and richness. The pear on top was delicious with the firm pastry of the tart complementing it perfectly.
Lastly is the cut wedding cake. Kitty and I were happy to get out of the house without a kid for once! Thanks mom and dad!
