Nelson: I've always thought that @MilestonesCa does a decent job with their food. This time we start with a dish that was shared at the table, Hot spinach and artichoke dip with creamy pinach, artichoke hearts and Italian cheeses, served with crispy tortilla chips and fresh cut salsa. I liked how there was a lot of cheese in the dip. That plus we ran out of dip before chips which seems to be a rare occurrence with these appetizers.
We ordered an app of mango shrimp ($13.50). It was ok and for some reason I really liked the vegetables that were underneath the shrimp. The shrimp tastes as you would expect with a once crispy shell that had become soft due to the sweet sauce.
Kitty ordered the butternut squash ravioli ($18.50) with roma tomato sauce, goat cheese, spinach, grape tomatoes, spicy glazed pecans. The sauce tasted very fresh. I thought a nice touch were the pecans on top that were candied. Overall a delicious dish.
I tried the AAA 12oz Prime Rib ($28.50) with signature seasoning, served with roasted garlic au jus, crisp onion strings and seasonal vegetables. It wasn't a rare cut, but it was still delicious since I hadn't had any rarish beef in for so long. The rib itself wasn't well marbled with a lot of fat gobules, so it could have been better. I really liked the baked potato. You can't see it, but there were some vegetables as well, but obviously there were not enough. The horseradish sauce was creamy and spicy. Of course the onion strings were delicious.
Overall, another good meal and Milestones. They are consistently good.
