Moxie's without me
Dre: I was told that Moxie's was a good place for kids. Mike and the girls went one night. I went with them for a little bit, but I didn't eat with them as I had a dinner later that night with my girlfriends elsewhere.
The food came out pretty quickly, which is a requirement for a kid-friendly restaurant. The cost for the kid's meal is quite high - $9.75 Was it good? Mike said it was pretty tasty and the kid's meal was pretty large.
My mom had the Penne Toscana - Italian sausage, bacon & mushrooms, creamy tomato, pesto & white wine reduction + grana padano ($19.50). It looked really good!
Mike had the Loaded Backyard Burger - aged white cheddar, mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, bacon and BBQ sauce ($17)
The kids shared the Chicken Bites served with your choice of fries, salad or veggies & dip. Of course, they chose fries.
The dishes at Moxie's were quite pricey. I don't think we would go often, but it was different than the usual at Swiss Chalet, Pickle Barrel, Pho, or Montana's.
