dre @MontanasBBQ: We were in Collingwood for a weekend, so we ended up at Montana's to take my dad out for his birthday. He got the moose hat, but I'm sure my mom was way more embarrassed than my dad was. We love birthdays, so we came to feast!
We started with sharing a plate of nachos. I remember when I used to eat this whole thing as my main course. It also used to be $9.99, and now they start at $13.99 for a meatless option. Still delicious though and great for sharing.
The girls shared a kid's chicken fingers meal. It didn't look that impressive, but they seemed to enjoy it, eating all the chicken and all the apples. The meal used to come in this cool paper folder boat, but maybe they ran out as it was served on this black iron plate.
I got an order of large pork side ribs with corn. The corn was surprisingly spicy, but yummy. My original ribs were quite burnt, so I waited as they made me another one. I always feel iffy about sending food back, but these were quite burnt and Montana's was known for ribs! The manager was really nice and gave me a discount on the ribs. The sauce I had on them was chipotle honey.
Mike got the Chipotle Firecracker Burger. It's the best burger they have and one of the best burgers around. He tried the lattice fries, which was a novelty, but I don't think worth the extra cost.
