Blue Jays Clinch the AL East!
dre @thepicklebarrel: We went out for dinner on a random Wednesday night, and it happened to be the day of a double header that the Blue Jays played where after the first game they clinched the AL East title. We were able to watch it on the big screen with fans around the bar, and because they won 15-2 and also because it was inevitable that they would eventually clinch the title within 1-2 games, it was a little anticlimactic, but still exciting for us.
Anyway, the food!
We started off with nachos because Mike and I were hungry! The kids helped eat some of the chips, but the jalapeño peppers made some of the pieces spicy and Kristen was turned off. We still enjoyed it!
Mike got the Double Monty Sandwich - grilled garlic pretzel bun, shaved roast beef brisket, roast turkey, aged cheddar, dijon aioli. He enjoyed the abundance of meat in the sandwich.
I decided to get the Panko-Crusted Basa Fillet topped with sautéed asian bell peppers and mushroom medley, ginger spiced hoisin sauce, brown basmati rice. I shared this with Lauren and she and I both really enjoyed it.
Kristen chose from the kid's meal the pasta dish. I should have known better to trust her when she wanted white sauce. The Alfredo Parmesan sauce was too cheesy for her liking, but Lauren had some of it.
The kid's menu dessert of "fresh fruit" was extremely disappointing. On the picture, it showed six different variety of fruits, and they only served us two. Kristen was very disappointed, so we complained and they came back from a bowl full of blackberries for her.
