dre: Mike really got into making popcorn after he learned how easy it was to do it.
His secret is while heating the oil (just a small amount!), to place a kernel to see when it would pop. When it does, that means the oil is hot enough to pour in the rest of the kernels.
After all the popcorn has popped, he mixed in a salt and sugar mixture (sometimes with paprika). We like making popcorn ourselves as we can control the amount of seasoning.
