Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

dre: I've been wanting to make cinnamon rolls myself after buying some from grocery stores and being completely unsatisfied by the taste. I found a recipe from Allrecipes.com that didn't require a bread maker for the dough.

Making the dough wasn't too hard - all you need is flour, sugar, salt, milk, butter and yeast. It was quite a workout kneading it though. I see why people buy those expensive stand mixers.

I rolled it out as best I could. The recipe said to roll it out into a 12x9 inch rectangle. That would be the dough on the left. The right side were the leftovers, and I thought it would be a big waste if I threw it away.
Then I spread a mixture of cinnamon, butter, and brown sugar on top.
Roll it up!
Cut it into 12 equal sized rolls. Because I had extra dough, I made more rolls.
Then you let it sit for a couple hours for the dough to rise.
I baked it for about 30 minutes, which I think was too long.
I served it with ice cream! Mike wanted me to make the icing as well, but I've made icing before and was appalled at how much sugar there was, so I don't like making it.

The middle pieces were really moist. I froze some to save for later, but they didn't thaw that well. You have to put a wet piece of paper towel over it to heat it up. I would make this again if I can find some time!
