Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts
dre: A New Years Eve party needs a feast! Denise brought over a recipe that she had made over the holidays - bacon wrapped water chestnuts! First you cut each slice of bacon in half, and wrap it around a water chestnut and poke a toothpick through it.
Then you pour a sauce made with sweet chilli, brown sugar, and maybe some other things I can't remember. Then you bake it for 20 minutes and voila! Tasty and crunchy!
The rest of dinner included some steamed broccoli (and leftover water chestnuts), salad, sausage pasta, tortellini, and garlic bread. We were stuffed!
