Chicken and Waffles
dre @ Trinity Commons: Finally! We came to Montana's looking to eat their Chicken and Waffles feature!
First, we had nachos again. I always do the survey in order to get the free appetizer (up to $10.99). These pulled pork nachos were $15.99, so we only paid $5 for them. Sweet!
I had the Chicken Waffle Club Sandwich - a southern fried chicken breast with maple sriracha, lettuce, tomato, mayo and bacon sandwiched in between 2 belgian waffles. I really enjoyed the sandwich a lot. The waffles made it really heavy and I was really full. I couldn't taste the maple sriracha too much. I would have preferred more maple sriracha and less mayo.
Mike tried the other entrée - Waffle and Fried Chicken. It was very similar to the sandwich, except there was maple gravy on his chicken. The sides were seasonal vegetables, which included potatoes, carrots and sweet potatoes. The jalapeño mac and cheese was pretty good, and a little spicy. I was excited to eat their cornbread, but this one was a dry and not that tasty.
The waiter offered Kristen a dessert, either an ice cream bar or a cookie. She said cookie, but when it came, she wanted nothing to do with it, so I had to eat it. The cookie was huge and served warmed, but I think it was just microwaved.
I really enjoy my dinners at Montana's, as you can tell the many posts I have of this place! :)
