Fanzorelli's in Downtown Brampton

Restaurant: Brampton Fanzorellis

dre @ Main & George: For Mother's Day, I chose this Italian restaurant to try. It's been around for a long long time, but we hardly venture to downtown Brampton to eat. We really should come downtown more often as it's not that out of the way to drive there and parking is free on weeknights and weekends.

The bread they served was super fresh and warm.... soooo good!

I tried the Rigatoni al Forno ($17) - a traditional homemade veal & pork meat sauce topped with mozzarella cheese then baked in the oven. It was good, but nothing too special, felt like something I could make at home.

Mike tried the Rigatoni Piccante ($18) - a fiery chipotle pepper cream sauce sautéed with mushrooms, bell peppers & hot Italian sausage. I had a couple of bites and this dish was pretty solid as well.

My mom had the Seafood Fettuccine($20) - mussels, baby shrimp, baby scallops, calamari & green onion in a rosé cream sauce.

For dessert, I had the New York Cheesecake with fresh fruits. It was very yummy and good end to the meal!

I would like to come back here again to try other things on the menu.
