Lone Star Chicken Wings

Restaurant: Brampton Lonestar

dre @ Queen & Hwy 410: We got coupons in the mail for free wings at Lone Star with the purchase of 2 entrees, so off we went one night for dinner.

As always, we got the free nachos. We tried not to eat too many, but of course, we failed and got refills.

For the wings, we tried the salt and pepper flavour. The wings were super plump and super juicy. They were also super salty. I enjoyed them for the shear size, but I did find that the batter was a little too much for me. It was very greasy and did I already mention extremely salty?

We tried the BBQ Pork Carnita Sandwich - Mesquite-grilled, barbecue-basted smoked pork topped with Texas slaw piled onto a garlic brushed pretzel bun. The sandwich was good and I liked the slab of meat. I was expecting pulled pork texture, so was surprised to see a single piece of meat. We asked for the coleslaw on the side, but I added it into my sandwich. For the side, we got a soup, which was spicy.

Of course, we always get the Big Rig Beef Burrito. We only ate a quarter of it and saved the rest for a snack the next day.
