Nelson @ Pamukkale: Another tour means another buffet for lunch. This one wasn't as busy but also had some interesting food choices.
They had a lot of appetizers (mezes) with vinegared tomatoes, vinegared onions, vinegared corn and vinegared olives and ...
... vinegared pickles, vinegared coleslaw, yogurt sauce salad, vinegared cabbage, raw olives and raw onions. I guess Turkish people like foods in vinegar?
Here are some green salads, beans, mixed vegetables and onion salad.
Some more saucy foods including soup, chick peas soup, pasta salad, lentil salad, etc.
This stringy stuff is a dessert. Not sure what it is called, but it wasn't too sweet and the stringy stuff was unexpectedly soft.
A cake soaked in honey. Almost like Indian Gulab jamun, but not quite as soaked or as sweet.
The heated mains include a bean vegetable dish, potato and red peppers, hot chick peas,
rice, roasted chicken and ???.
AND YOU CAN NOT FORGET THE BREAD AT A TURKISH MEAL
Here are my plates of food. It was really different eating roasted chicken as it almost tasted completely Western. I don't know if it is common in Turkey but that was the first time I saw it anwywhere.
Lastly, the view was great. Pamukkale is the world's first infinite pool and the scenery is spectacular.
