Work Party at Terroni

Restaurant: Terroni Toronto

dre @ King & Adelaide: For my work Christmas party, we had dinner at Terroni. Since there was almost 100 people, dishes were ordered before hand and served family style.

We started with a platter of meats and cheeses. I'm not a fan of these things, so I only tried a slice of prosciutto.

There were two salads - a Caprese, which has tomatoes, and a Verde, the mixed green salad.

We had calamari, and I ate way too much of this and almost got full. I guess when you're hungry, you reach for the closest item on the table and there was lots of calamari. It was tasty and crispy.

The first pasta was the Rigatoni Arcobaleno - mozzarella di bufala, zucchini, light cheery tomato sauce, and basil. This was okay. I didn't get a refill, though I did like the chunky pieces of rigatoni.

The second pasta was the Pappardelle alla losa - homemade spicy sausage, button and oyster mushrooms, peas, parmiagiano, extra-virgin olive oil. This pasta was delicious and I got multiple servings. Surprisingly, many tables hardly touched theirs and I hope someone packed it up to go because it would be such a waste to toss it all out. I love pappardelle noodles!

There was also some pizzas - Peppino - tomato, garlic, grilled eggplant, zucchini, red peppers, parmigiano. This was the vegetarian pizza. The Scattagengive - tomato, mozzarella, hot cacciatore salame, spicy auricchio prvolone was the meaty pizza. I was really full from the pasta to enjoy these, and I only tried a small slice of each. However, the kitchen brought out another meat pizza and no one touched it, so I packed it up and took it home. :)

For dessert, we had cannolis with chocolate and pistachios. A great end to a yummy meal!
