The first course of a 10 course dinner
dre @ Mandarin Golf and Country Club: Located in the northern part of Markham lies this golf course. It is owned by Chinese people as predominantly most members are Asian. There is a restaurant there that serves Chinese food. I went there once for dim sum and it was pretty good, though more expensive than most other places.
My family booked a room here for a formal dinner to celebrate my grandparents' anniversary. There is only one dish shown as I was too preoccupied to eat while feeding the baby and totally forgot to take pictures of the other dishes. The problem with Chinese banquets is that if I'm not on the ball, I can't take a picture of the entire dish before the server starts distributing.
Anyway, we started with a BBQ meat with jellyfish plate. I always enjoy the jellyfish and the meats were good as well.
As for the rest of the meal, I remember that it was pretty decent. It wasn't the best Chinese food I've had in my life, but it was a very enjoyable night with family, and it wasn't marred by gross food.
