Toshi Japanese Restaurant

dre @ Hurontario & Bovaird: I went to this Japanese restaurant one day for lunch. This place has been around for a long time, but I've never been there until now. It is run by Japanese people. The lady that served us was probably one of the owners. She couldn't speak English really well, and when I asked for a lunch menu, she gave me a paper that was all in Japanese and she had to translate it for me.

I had the chicken teriyaki bento box. I like bento boxes because of all the different varieties it comes with. Besides the miso soup, it also had chap chae, a salad, spring rolls (which I normally do not see), and California rolls.

I found the teriyaki sauce too salty for my liking, but in general, the meal was really filling. I couldn't finish it and saved some California rolls for an afternoon snack.
