Choose Your Own Adventure
dre in Richmond: My cousin Lewis took us to this noodle soup place called Deer Garden Signatures. We had to wait for a table, and Lewis explained the menu as we were waiting.
You choose a soup base, type of noodles, and 2 items to go in your soup. Each bowl is $8.50 (though extra for some specialty items) and it also comes with a hot HK style tea or coffee.
We tried the Malay Laksa soup with rice noodles, beef brisket and beef balls. This was a little spicy.
The next soup is the Peanut soup with rice noodles, beef brisket and sliced beef. The soup was really tasty!
The last soup is Tom Yum Goong with rice noodles, beef brisket and mushrooms. This was also very good.
I really like this concept and wished that someday a pho restaurant would open up where we just choose our items in our pho.
The portions were HUGE and we were so full after this meal that we all wanted to take a nap. This is noodle soup meal #2.
