Dani and Fei's Wedding Main Courses
dre in Chicago: For the main courses, we were treated to a meal of fusion Asian and Italian prepared dishes. I don't think these are the typical dishes they serve at the restaurant, but because Fei is a partner, the chef created this menu for the couple for their wedding.
We started off with a salad and antipasto plate. I liked how the salad was lightly dressed.
Pork Belly Steamed Bun.
General Tso's Lobster Arancini. This was the best dish of the night. The coating was crunchy with a sweet and spicy glaze. The inside was really tasty and even Mike enjoyed it.
Garlic Baby Bok Choy.
Vegetable Lo Mein.
Calabrian Style Suckling Pig. I wasn't a fan of this dish. It was a little too fatty for me and the sauce was overpowering.
Soy-Ginger Steamed Branzino. I thought it was very bold to serve an entire fish and to share at the table. I didn't try any, but some people at the table really liked it and surprisingly most of the fish was eaten at our table.
There were also some chicken wings that came out afterwards, but I didn't take a picture of that. The whole meal was really filling but for sure the best part was the cupcakes for dessert that I posted a couple days ago!
