Restaurant: Fresh Toronto

dre @ Spadina & Queen: We went downtown to do some shopping, and wanted to go to Banh Mi Boys for lunch. Unfortunately, we were walking around with a stroller and Banh Mi Boys was too crowded and too small to fit the stroller in, so we had to find lunch elsewhere. We walked across Spadina and decided to just go into this restaurant, Fresh, without looking at the menu. What we didn't know was that it was a vegetarian place. Also, they were very strict about not having outside food in the restaurant as they promptly took away our Starbuck's cups. Good thing we already finished our coffees.

We were fortunate to get a seat in the corner where we could park our stroller. Otherwise, there would have been no where to fit that thing.

Dave got the soup of the day. I believe it was a pea soup.

























To go with his soup, he got the Power House with Soba noodles($16) - avocado, chick peas & grilled tofu steaks with sunflower sprouts, Toasted Nut & Seed Mix, tomato, red onion & spicy tahini sauce.





































Mike and I shared an Antioxidant fruit smoothie. It had pomegranate, blueberry and banana. It tasted really fresh and healthy.








































Mike ordered the Brunch Burrito - scrambled tofu with tempeh bacon, tomato, lettuce, alfalfa & house mayo in a grilled whole wheat tortilla with home fries. I had a couple bites and it was really good.






























I got the BBQ Burger - high protein vegan patty (not sure what it was made of, but my guess is tofu) with tangy bbq sauce, quinoa onion rings, garlic mayo, napa cabbage, hot banana chilies, tomato & lettuce. The quinoa onion ring was SO GOOD! Actually, the whole burger was really good!

I would come back here and try other items. Everything seemed really healthy and good for you! I found the prices a tad expensive for lunch though.
