Homemade Cheesecake

dre: I contributed to the family feast too, by making cheesecake from scratch. I haven't done this in a couple of years, and I remember how much time it took to stir everything. This time, I was smart and left everything at room temperature so that the cream cheese and butter wasn't that hard. Also, I used a hand blender. The first time I made homemade cheesecake, I stirred myself and I swear, I stirred for an hour or more.

I used pre-crushed graham cracker crumbs for the crust. I wasn't a fan of the taste, so I think next time I'll have to get another type. I think this was Walmart's Great Value brand.

Once I mixed everything together, I poured it into a pan and baked it for an hour. After it was done, I left it in the oven (without opening the door) to let it sit.

Unfortunately, the next morning, there were a couple of cracks.

Good news though, is that I made some strawberry sauce to cover the cracks!

Everyone really enjoyed the cake. My grandma even said it was good and apparently she compliments no one. One of my uncles and aunts asked to keep the leftovers, which I gladly obliged. My cousin told me a couple of days later that his parents were gorging on the cheesecake haha
