Lieutenant's Pump
Restaurant: Lieutenants_Pump Ottawa
Nelson @ Ottawa: I was visiting Kitty for Winterlude and sadly it was too warm to skate on the canal. We did enjoy a nice breakfast at this Irish pub.
Kitty had the Sunny Side up eggs with sausage and home fries ($6.25). She added a white chocolate scone for 55 cents. I love how it came with such a wide variety of fresh fruits. The home fries and sausage were good here as well. As good as the white chocolate scone sounds, it didn't turn out to be that good, but still enjoyable.
I had the roast Sirloin Croissant sandwich ($10.95) with roast sirloin beef, tomato, onion, lettuce and sprouts with cracked peppercorn mayonnaise. And it was amazing. The excellent taste of the quality beef shone through and was nicely accented by peppercorn mayo. The vegetables were all extremely fresh and tasty all wrapped in a fresh croissant. Surprised by the quality of this sandwich at a Irish pub!
Enjoyable breakfast/brunch at a surprising location. No wonder there were lineups!
