Pizzeria Uno - the Original

dre in Chicago: Not to be confused with the chain Uno's Chicago Grill, this pizza place is the original Uno! We came here just as it opened for lunch, so it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere was very 50's diner feel, and on a hot sunny day, we welcomed the air conditioned restaurant.

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, which isn't very traditional, but it was tasty. Because there were 4 slices, among the 3 of us, we each had 1 and 1/3 slices. The pizza was very saucy, and not too cheesy, and also not too oily. We were satisfied with the small pizza and it lasted us until dinner.

Because of its popularity, the owners opened Pizzeria Due ("Two" in Italian) just down the street which apparently serves the same menu.
