dre in Chicago: We arrived after a long drive to my aunt and uncle's house, and they had asked us what we would like for dinner. We didn't have any preference and just asked them to suggest something and my uncle brought us to Weber Grill.
Weber Grill = the same company that manufactures the BBQ. There was a huge BBQ on the outside of the restaurant and there was a statue of Mr. Weber(?) grilling a steak on the inside. Even where the food comes out to be served are under these decorative grill lids. So cute.
I felt like I should try their grilling specialties, so I ordered their pork chop, which the waitress highly recommended. The Bone-In Smoked Pork Chop was topped with Honey-Mustard Glaze and came with Sauteed Spinach and Whipped Sweet Potatoes. The pork chop was really really juicy, and a bit small, so I wished I had the double order of 2 chops. It looks burnt, but most of the sides are just fat, so it wasn't eaten anyway.
Mike got Weber's Signature BBQ Ribs - Fall-Off-The-Bone, Hardwood Smoked Baby Back Pork Ribs. They were pretty tender and tasty. You get a choice of 2 sides, so Mike got cornbread and corn on the cob. I thought it would come with the whole corn, but sadly, it was just half.
My uncle got the Sliced Beef Brisket and my aunt got Cedar Plank Salmon.
Doug got the 14oz New York Strip. It was huge!!
We got some dessert to share, and Mike's pick was Big G's Caramel Apple Pie - Baked in a Bag with Cinnamon Ice Cream. I can't say that the bag made it taste any better, but the novelty was cool.
My aunt and uncle got a Peach Creme Brulee to share.
Our waitress was really hard to find after a while, so service was a little shoddy at the end. The food was pretty good and restaurant was very busy.
