Uno Salad...not pizza
Restaurant: Orlando Uno_Chicago_Grill
Nelson @ Orlando: I'm dumb. I don't know what Uno is and that they are famous for their deep dish pizza. At the time, I felt like I should be eating healthy, so I ordered a salad. The chopped power salad has chicken breast, spinach, plum tomatoes, carrots, feta, red grapes, goji berries, Thompson raisins, soy nuts, almonds, pepitas & Ocean Spray sweetened cranberries with fat free vinaigrette ($11.29). Looking back at the picture, I just notice now that there was no chicken! At least if there was any, it was buried underneath. Besides the missing chicken, I'm just noticing now that I don't see any carrot either. Now as I look even closer, I just noticed that there isn't very much, if any, tomato either! Now I'm searching Google for pictures of this dish. I just did a visual comparison and mine is definitely lacking. QUALITY CONTROL FAIL.
The 3 types of dried fruit/berries added a lot of sweetness to this dish and the nuts added some substance. The grapes did not go well, being too sour compared to everything else and did not balance in a good way. Despite the missing ingredients and what I said, I still ate it all. The bread stick was good.
Anyway, seems like I got the short end of the (bread) stick. You don't win friends with salad. As I find out in Chicago, you win friends with gooey deep fried deep dish meaty buttery pizza.
