Senator Restaurant
Restaurant: Senator_Restaurant Toronto
dre @ Dundas & Victoria: Diana from foodology.ca was in town, so I met up with her to have brunch. I found this place from Urbanspoon, and also from googling "Toronto's best pancakes". This place showed up on one of the forums I came across. I checked the menu, and it seemed yummy, so off we went.
It was pretty busy when we got there and there was a short wait. I liked how some of the booths were made for three people. I wonder if they did some case study where they can fit in more people if they had 3-person booths.
Anyway, Diana ordered the Senator Breakfast which comes with a coffee, 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. I tried some of her hash browns. They were tasty.
After hemming and hawing for a while, I was torn between getting pancakes or French toast. I asked the waitress what she recommended and without a blink, she said French toast. So that's how my coming here for pancakes changed to French toast.
The French toast was really good. They used a thick piece of toast and had the right amount of egg batter. I enjoyed this dish.
I'll need to come back and try out the pancakes!
