Pre-Jays Game Lunch

Restaurant: Lou_Dawgs Toronto

dre @ King & Bathurst: The reason I wanted to come to this place was because I read on Ricky Romero's twitter that he came here for dinner after a Blue Jay's game. Being the celebrity stalker that I am, I wanted to check this place out and see if there was anyone famous. To my delight, when I looked online for the menu, it wasn't an expensive restaurant, but they served southern BBQ foods like pulled pork, wings, and ribs! The prices weren't bad either!

So before a late 4pm Blue Jay's game, we headed over here to grab some grub. Mike got the The Mighty Loutine (Pulled Pork Poutine) - Hand-cut fries topped with homemade gravy made from smoked chicken bones and fresh – never frozen cheese curds AND our famous pulled pork. This ain’t no routine poutine. I had a couple of fries with gravy and it was good. Mike really enjoyed his poutine a lot, and now is dreaming of the next time he can have poutine again.

I got the Pulled Pork Sandwich - Pork shoulder massaged with our Special Rub, slow smoked ‘till "fork tender" & finally, the lucky bastard gets smothered in our Original Southern BBQ Sauce. It was a pretty hearty sandwich, but I thought the pork could have used more sauce.
