Nelson: Hard to avoid these chain restaurants when you have such a large group, so here we are again. We shared some calamari, and they do a pretty good job of this dish even though it is pretty oily. Two sauces is a nice way to change it up.
Kitty had the Chicken Parmigiana: Fresh chicken breat, lightly breaded and topped with smoked mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Served with bowtie pasta, tossed in a creamy cheese sauce. I think she ordered this because of the bowtie pasta and from the bite I had it was good.
I had the Jack's Fajitas with sizzling vegetables, served with grated cheddar cheese, lettuce, sour cream, salsa and warm flour tortillas with smokey BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce is really good here and as a result made for a decent dish.
This time we were in the Dundas Square area and looking for a place to have a drink and grab a bite to eat. We tried to get on their awesome patio, but it was full so sat inside instead. I tried their chicken club sandwich, a marinated grilled fresh chicken breast with bacon, lettuce, tomato and smoked paprika mayo on focaccia. The salad that came with it was really good having a great variety of ingredients, a large size and presented nicely. The chicken club was surprisingly good with a large piece of chicken that wasn't too dry, some tasty mayo and bread that complemented everything.
Looks like I have underestimated this chain a little bit. Nothing amazing here, but definitely serviceable.
