C & A Steak Company
Nelson @ Collingwood: Up here in the summer for a Bachelor party and we went into the Blue Mountain ski village for a nice dinner. They must get a lot less business in the summer, but I suspect they don't change the prices. I tried the C&A Signature Peppercorn Striploin served with mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, C & A onion crisps, ripe tomatoes and spring onions. The steak itself was cooked well as befits a quality steak restaurant. The snow peas were buttery and cooked perfectly (ie not overcooked). The onion strings were cooked well, but they were a tad salty, but it didn't stop me from eating them all. Unique to this restaurant, they brought out some tomato and a sprig of green onion. I like these things, but thought it a little strange to eat with a steak. Not sure where this idea came from either.
The bread that came out was freshly baked and the wine was excellent. Overall the service was quite good as well. Not bad for a steakhouse, but not cheap either. I would come back here again if I had something to celebrate.
