Rishi & Shelley's Engagement Lunch
Nelson @ BraeBen Golf Club: This cook here is a white guy, but I guess with so many Indian clients in the Mississauga, he has learned how to cook Indian food. And at least to my taste, it was pretty good! The butter chicken at the top right was the highlight as it was rich and tasty, and I had to go back for seconds. The naan was decent, but probably not cooked in the traditional way. I had a bit of Palak Paneer (Kitty's favourite Indian dish) on the left, some Aloo Gobi (curry cauliflower & potato) at the bottom and Chana Masala on the right bottom of my plate. Even the Indian guests said the food was decent. Since this was an engagement party, they cake had a huge ring in the middle of it. It was a chocolate cake on the bottom, but strawberry on top. There was also some rice pudding to go with the cake. Seems like there are a lot of events that go with an Indian wedding and this engagement party seemed like a fairly formal affair. Although it was only lunch, I stuffed myself.
