Brix Cougar Bar

Restaurant: Brix_Napa_Valley_Grille Richmond_Hill

dre @ Hwy 404 and Hwy 7: For a work dinner, we went to Brix Napa Valley Grill in Richmond Hill. I heard that this was a big cougar bar and they certainly came out later that night...

We started off with a couple platters of coconut tiger prawns and seared tuna with glazed mushrooms, wasabi & sesame tuile. I was really hungry, so I was popping them like candy. It came with a red and white wine pairing.

For the meal, there was a set dinner of 3 different mains to choose from. They all started with a salad or soup, and I chose the house salad.

For my main, I got the Chicken Supreme - agout of mushrooms, shallots and dark chicken demi. This was really juicy and tasty.

My coworker sitting next to me got the Strip Loin Steak - red onion marmalade, green peppercorns, cognac and cream. This looked really good too.

For dessert, we got Chocolate fondant with vanilla cream. The middle was warm and had gooey chocolate sauce. Yummy.

As the night went on, we got the munchies, so we ordered some wings and Brix truffle fries - Dusted with Grano Padano, truffle mayo. The truffle fries were quite underwhemling, and I wouldn't get them again.
