Nelson's Birthday Buffet

Restaurant: Copacabana_Brazilian_Steakhouse Toronto

dre and Nelson @ Yonge & Eglinton: For Nelson's birthday, he finally got his Brazillian BBQ wish! After a sweaty day of playing volleyball and biking, we were excited for a meatfest.

As always, we hit up the salad bar, but it wasn't as memorable as I remembered the first time I went. My plate was the one that was full of food. Nelson's plate looked more sparse. He portion controlled better.

As usual, we had many types of meat, ranging from different types of beef, to ribs, to chicken. I think there was some lamb too. I didn't take too many pictures, as it wasn't as different as last time. I found the meats extremely salty that night.

Not shown were the countless slices of pineapple that we kept asking the server to bring out. I think we probably ate a quarter to a half a pineapple each.

I also feature one of the many cornbread muffins I had that night. I may have had at least 3 or 4. I know I'm filling myself up with carbs, but they were delicious and I'm a sucker for bread.

Nelson got some chocolate balls from the restaurant. He cut them into smaller pieces and I had one or two bites. They were surprisingly really good, but very heavy.

I was having a bad case of meat sweats after this night and only ate vegetables for the next couple of days.

  • Yeah, I found the meats all really excessively salty that day too...a little disappointing. I really like the cheesy bread as well as the cornbread (and the fried bananas). But still a great meal experience.
