Taiwanese Beef Noodle
Restaurant: Burnaby Lao_Shan_Dong Vancouver
dre @ Kingsway & Nelson: I was recommended to eat at this place in Burnaby by 3 different people at separate instances, so was really looking forward to it. I don't think I've had Taiwanese beef noodles before. We tried 2 different types - the first is a dry noodle, where I mixed the sauce with the noodles. The second dish is a soup noodle, similar to the dry version. I thought the dry version was too oyster saucy, and the soup could be a little bit spicier. The beef was extremely tender and delicious! However, the noodles are the most memorable, as they are freshly pulled! I've never had such a texture like this before and I think I could probably eat a bowl of plain noodles. They were soooo good!
Lewis ordered dumplings too because he said he hasn't been here in awhile and couldn't remember what the dumplings tasted like. They were okay haha
Finally, Lewis taught me a new way to fold a chopstick stand by rolling the paper instead of folding :)
