Oakville Work Lunchs

Nelson: Here are some more places I tried in the Oakville area. Once again, Boston Pizza, which I've grown to like is at the top with a Philly Cheesesteak. I didn't like their version though, as it didn't seem like a cheesesteak to me. Not enough cheese or peppers and the beef was a large folded piece. Their menu is hit or miss I guess.

Next is Crazy Sushi's bento box, which had a decent amount sashimi, but nothing else. Still pretty far down the list in terms of quality for me.

The onion ring at Wild Wing are called Garpar onion rings, with a garlic parmesan sauce all over them. The sauce is pretty good because it tastes so fattening. I tried the Hawaiian with Franks Extra Hot and Pineapple Curry. Decent tasting with some batter and medium sized wings. I would come back here again, and especially because they have some good daily deals.

At Tasty Thai Cuisine, the meals come with a soup and spring roll to start which is nice, but they didn't taste that good. The Pad Thai I had there was one of the worse ones I've had, not tasting very good or cooked well. Maybe because the place was entirely deserted and dark influenced my opinion.

Lastly is another Boston Pizza item, their burger with bacon and cheese. Decently put together, nothing to complain about, but nothing really unique either.

  • Try the stromboli the next time you're at Boston Pizza! I get overwhelmed at Wild Wing, cuz I never know what flavour to get...
