The Introduction of Soup

dre in Peru: We went on a 3-day trekking tour down into the Colca Canyon, which is the deepest canyon in the world. We spent about 3 hours a day hiking in the morning, and by lunch time, we get to our destination where we spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at the lodge. What we didn't know was the great food that we would be eating!

During this trek, we were fed 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Each meal started with a soup. At first, I was afraid that that was it for the meal, but this was only the starter. The soups were mostly vegetable with pasta in them. The last soup was a potato soup. After this trek, we became addicted to soup!
