Deep Fried Butter, Deep Fried Mars Bar and Chocolate bacon at the CNE

Nelson @ CNE: Last summer CNE was really advertising their Deep Fried Butter. I went this summer and tried some. First is a picture of chocolate bacon, which they were also selling. Sounds good in theory, but not as good as I was expecting. It was sweet, salty and fatty, but other foods do this combination better.

The Deep Fried Butter is battered and then fried and in the end, all that is left is a shell of batter. It doesn't really taste like much and all that can be tasted is the different toppings that are poured on top. Tastes alright I guess, but definitely not something I would order again.

Last is the deep fried mars bar. Now this is something I could get behind. The Mars Bar is battered, speared with a stick and deep fried. Once you bite in, it's a nice gooey mess of caramel, chocolate and toffee. This tasted really good and I would consider ordering this one again.
