Buffeting It Up for Peter's Real/Fake Birthday
Restaurant: Dragon_Pearl Toronto
dre @ York Mills & Don Mills: For Peter's birthday, we went to a Chinese buffet called "Dragon Pearl". There was a really long wait despite making reservations. I call it Peter's fake birthday because his birth certificate and his actual birth date is different and I forgot which was the real one.
The buffet served a lot of different kinds of food, and they give you this plastic diamond to get a couple pieces of lobster each per person. One notable item was this giant "pearl". You can purchase it whole for $9 or they broke it into pieces for you to try. It was very sweet.
Also something different was the noodle area. There was a guy shaving dough off a block to make noodles, and that was really good.
All in all, this place wasn't bad, but pretty expensive. I stuffed myself silly that night.
