Pizza in West Village
dre in NYC: After having a chance to brush our teeth and lie down to stretch, we headed out to start our food adventures in the big Apple. I had made a booklet, really a map, with different points of interest in each part of town. On my list was Keste, a pizza place recommended by several people. I was afraid that we would have to wait, so we got there a little bit before they opened at noon. There was no line and the restaurant was empty!
It is a really narrow restaurant and tables and chairs were extremely close to each other. I can't imagine what it's like when it's busy. I think you would elbow your neighbour constantly!
Since we only ate breakfast not too long ago, Mike and I shared an Ortolana pizza – tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, mushroom, artichoke, extra virgin olive oil. I really liked the pizza and it was really fresh.
Mike chatted with one of the owners who prepares the food and he let him take a picture of the oven.
