Hong Kong Street Food

Restaurant: Hong_Kong

Nelson @ HK: Back in Hong Kong, walking the streets and hungry. Luckily there is plentiful food. We saw a large lineup for something, and after taking a quick look we also got in line. They were selling a yam, but as it turns out it was a yam from Taiwan, the place where I had just gotten off the plane from. He was cooking them in a circular oven that got really hot. I remember hardly being able to hold the yam yet alone eat it since it was so hot. The yam itself was sweet and full of carby goodness. Slightly different from the caribbean type, but very close.

We also went to the corner shop selling a wide variety of snacks. Kitty loves fish balls, so we picked up a stick full of spicy fish balls. For some reason, they tasted extra good. Maybe because it's been stewing in the spicy sauce forever.
