Shanghai in HK
Restaurant: Crystal_Jade_Xiao_Long_Bao Hong_Kong
Nelson: This restaurant is right outside the MTR station where you can check-in. It is also really busy.
Since the name of the restaurant is called xiao long bao, we of course ordered some. They were nicely juice filled and were pretty decent. What was really good is the Nanjing Salted Duck, which was presented nicely and tasted excellent. We tried to order typical dishes, so this included the Fried Rice Flour Cake in Shanghai Style, but unfortunately this dish wasn't that great either.
The Poached Cai Xin/Kailan were a little different because they had large beans in the dish, but it was a little overcooked. But the best vegetable dish is the Assorted Vegetable wrapped in deep-fried beancurd skin. This was made really well and was crispy and tasty, with the mushrooms inside giving extra salty flavour and substance.
The combination of Sauteed Shrimp with Salted Egg Yolk sounds like a good idea and when presented it looked appetizing, but unfortunately it the tastes just didn't match. I think this is the only place I've seen this dish, and I think I know why now.
