dre in Ottawa: One of the main purposes coming to Ottawa was to eat a Beaver Tail. We were in Byward Market when we lined up to get my beloved Beaver Tail. Mike couldn't resist and got an apple cinnamon one (no surprise). I tried the Skor one with vanilla icing. It was delicious!!

Later during the day, our host took us to Kettlemans. They make Montreal style bagels. I've never seen the oven action before, but it was neat seeing how the bagels were hand rolled and put into the oven and flipped. Then they are manually coated with sesame seeds. Very yummy, I bought 1/2 dozen and took them home to eat for the week.
