Steak at King Street Trio
Nelson @ King & University: I wanted the Prime Rib only available on Friday and Saturday, but King Street Trio just served the last one to the couple that were seated right before us. We also ordered an appetizer, but they forgot to bring it out. I suppose I saved some calories and money that day.
Their bread service has not only olive oil and balsamic vinegear, but also a salsa. We mopped this up completely, especially since we didn't have the appetizer.
Kitty got the Angus Beef Ribeye, a hand cut ribeye steak grilled to your liking. A thinner, fattier steak that will appeal to the steak lover who prefers beef more well done. Served witha Madeira demi glace. We got the pesto duchesse potatoes as a side. We were both craving some steak that day.
We had a side of roast garlic mashed potatoes that was served separately.
Instead of Prime Rib, I got a Angus Beef New York Striploin, a centre cut striploin grilled to your liking, servied with a roasted red pepper compound butter. Surpringly, I didn't like the butter very much. I don't think I have ever not liked butter. My steak was tastier than Kitty's, but it's a better cut so I would expect that. Check out the rareness!
