Nelson @ Granville Island: Diana suggested this place right outside Granville Island. It's literally a shack by the water with some outdoor benches. We went in the middle of the afternoon, at the end of a leisurely bike ride around False Creek, so the lineup wasn't bad for us, but as we finished, the lineup was getting long.
They are famous for Fish & Chips, so we ordered the Halibut in homemade Granville Island beer batter, served with pacific rim coleslaw and classic pomme frites. The fish & chips came in dim sum steamer and a generous portion of fresh hand cut fries. The fish was really firm and tasted really good.
We ordered a special Qualicum Bay Scallop Sandwich with sweet chili sauce and caramelized onions. It was so satisfying eating such large scallops and the sauce went really well together. This was a unique sandwich, but I enjoyed it greatly.
