Last Dinner of the Cruise!

Restaurant: Carnival_Valor

dre @ Carnival Valor: Our last dinner of the cruise!

Soups - American Navy Bean Soup Simmered with Root Vegetables and Lobster Bisque with Cream and Oak Wood Aged Brandy. I had the lobster bisque. It was good.

New England Crab Cake served with Apple Relish, Roasted Bell Pepper and Rosemary Remoulade. That was also good!

Grilled Portabello Mushroom and Handpicked Mesclun Lettuce Marinated with Balsamic, Fresh Basil and Virgin Olive Oil. Yummy. Do you see a trend here?

Grilled Chicken Breast Served over Fettucine, Tossed in Mushroom Cream. I don't remember how this one tasted, but probably nothing special.

Mike's dad had Panko Crusted Jumbo Shrimp with artichokes, sun ripened tomatoes and kernel corn medley.

Mike ordered what I wanted the day before - Barbecued St. Louis StylePork Spare Ribs served with creamy coleslaw, grilled spring onion and French fries. It was delicious - fall off the bone ribs!

I had the Barbecued, Whole Cornish Game Hen marinated with Southern herbs and spices. I ate this whole hen by myself... delicious!

For dessert, I had the Gran Mariner Souffle served with vanilla sauce and someone else had the cappuccino pie.

It was a great experience and although Carnival Valor's food was the not best at all times, I definitely had some favourites! We spent all week talking about how they keep the food fresh and how the logistics worked to serve so many people. Very interesting!

  • That pasta dish looks like a meal in of itself!
