Eggs at Cora's
Nelson @ Cora's: We were up and about early enough to enjoy breakfast. I've never been to Cora's before so we tried it.
Kitty had the Eggs Ben et Dictine (eggs Benedict), which is two poached eggs on an english muffin covered with Hollandaise sauce served with roasted potatoes and fresh fruit. She opted for the Asparagus and swiss cheese. It was pretty good, and the fruit was presented very creatively. A little bit pricey though for a vegetarian dish.
I had the 1990's Harvest, which consisted of a cinnamon-raisin brioche dipped in french toast batter with an egg and bacon on one side and a mountain of fresh fruit on the other. The mountain of fresh fruit really attracted me to this dish. The french toast part was good too as the bread was really thick (and a little dry). I used syrup too, which made it wetter and sweeter. The fruit was ok, as some of it wasn't ripe enough. I think they coat the fruit with something too, but I'm not sure. Overall I liked this dish.
In the pictures, it looks very large, but in actuality I wasn't completely full. Maybe I was extra hungry that day, but I thought the portions could have been a little larger at those prices. The quality is definitely there.
