Pre-Marathon Carb Up
Restaurant: Hot_House_Cafe Toronto
dre @ Front & Church: The night before my big marathon (well, I was only running 7km of it as part of a relay), we went to Hot House Café. I discovered this place when my friends and I wanted to go to Richtree for a post-exam celebratory dinner. Unfortunately, Richtree was crazy busy and the line was up the wazoo. We walked a little further east and saw Hot House Café and decided to eat here.
I took Mike here another time, and since we haven't been back in a while, I picked it as my carb up place. We were served sour dough bread. I had a coupon for free crab cakes, so we go those. They were delicious!
I had the Pollo Pesto Fusilli - chicken, pesto, garlic, sundried tomatoes, broccoli, carrots and bell peppers. The dish was pretty good, but I remembered it being better before. Maybe because it wasn't too saucy.
Mike had the HotHouse Penne - spicy Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, chili peppers, extra virgin olive oil, tomato basil sauce. His dish was pretty good.
