Reety And Tarun Wedding Lunch
Restaurant: none
Nelson @ Reety's Wedding: This Indian wedding was almost an all day event. After a ceremony in the morning, we were treated to a buffet lunch by The Host.
This included a mango salad and sprouted moth salad to start. The mango salad was fresh and raw. The sprouted moth (a type of bean) salad was the first time I tried this and it was a little too vinegeary for my liking.
Then a regular tomato pasta followed with paneer and roasted vegetable wraps. Then there was a paneer ka chilla, a cheese/pepper spread on fried pita-like bread. The last main course was a Dhokla. I don't remember how this tasted, but I don't think I went back for seconds.
The best part of the meal was the pistachio ice cream. This was not some sweetened syrpy concotion you buy in supermarkets. Rather it was a light ice cream that really brought out the natural flavour of the pistachio. This stuff was so good, I went back for thirds!
